| Rock & Roll Hall of Fame has RAP artists in it, & many bands that are a lot less well known & have fewer good songs than Monkees. ...they keep saying w/ arrogance that Monkees were pre-fab, not real, didn't write their songs, didn't play instruments... BUT whats funny, Monkees' BEST 2 albums, "Headquarters" and "Pisces, aquarius, capricorn & jones ltd" were written & played mostly by the Monkees themselves! Also, check out Tapioca Tundra, Daily Nightly etc. - it all rocks! Monkees are great! |

| They were part of what we grew up with and were what was on the radio. Listen to the crap that you hear now,(not all) and so much of it is manufactured lip-synched junk. These guys had no choice but to Become what they were. They were (ARE) as legitimate at anyone out there today. Rolling Stone is so anal retentive their taste needless to say in the their a** (backside). |

| If you excluded all the acts who used studio musicians and outside songwriters on their records then half the acts in the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame would be banished!. The Monkees WERE legit musicians, songwriters, and singers. Just because the records were slick productions doesn't make them any less worthy of induction. |

| The people at the hall apparently have NO idea what good music is. I agree with a majority of the Monkee fans on getting them in. The show was addicting, as was their music [little children today would love them]. The Monkees fought to play their own music and did it very well. And while the Monkees wished to do their own thing, each Monkee bought something different to the Music table. My mom grew up on them and passed em on to me, so props to the Monkees! They deserve it! |
